This book was everything I have come to expect from The Queen Of The Curve ball!!!
This story literally had me on the edge of my seat from the first word on the first page until the last word on the final page.
I truly didn’t want this book to end, and I can’t wait until the next book!!!

Earthquake!!!!!!!!! This book was amazing from beginning to end. It had me sitting on the edge of my seat at times and screaming at the characters at other times. Sasha deserved all she was receiving after having to deal with the mother from hell all of her life. I thought Lena was a bad mother, smh she has nothing on Stephanie. It’s so much I want to say but don’t want to give the book away. So I will stop here, but I will say I am definitely looking forward to the next book and can’t wait to run and pre-order. Job well done as always Iris, you are a beast with the pen.

    The Book of Luke: Earthquake
    Bravo! Bravo!
I think Luke might be my favorite Lassiter!
Iris Bolling took Luke’s and Sasha’s story to another level. The storyline is bursting with family drama, riveting suspense, and passionate love. Yes! The whole Lassiter family and lots of familiar characters make appearances in Luke’s book. Yes! You can read this book as a stand-alone, but why would you? This Gems and Gents series is full of sexy and intelligent men and women that will have you spellbound. Read The Whole Series…You Will Not Be Disappointed!

I truly loved this book. Ms. Iris brought back all the Lassiters and friends in this book and showed us that Luke Lassiter was more than an NFL player. There is also a surprise involving Phire. If you love the Lassiters you will not be disappointed. Luke and Sasha delivery. Just a little peak: Sally has another person whose ass she will need to get into.

This book I mean there are no words. Iris is amazing. I laughed I screamed out loud, I cursed characters out. I absolutely love her characters. There aren’t enough stars for a true rating.

Iris Bolling has done it again. With Luke, I was worried about it being the final Gems and Gents book as I did not want the series to end. With the Lassister’s you feel like part of the family so why end them —- well Iris brought it full circle. In Luke’s book she pulled all the pieces of the puzzle together!
This book catches you from the beginning! It answers questions you didn’t know you had! It throws in some surprises as only Iris Bolling can. It explains the unexplainable and makes you think how did I not see that coming? Iris brought out the big guns in this one! All of your favorites step in when and where needed. You will be surprised at all the people who step up to the plate without being asked just because of who the Lassisters’ are and what they stand for.
If you have not read the Gems & Gents series, I say start from the beginning so you can get the full feel of the family. Enjoy their trials and tribulations, as well as their family counsel meetings. Walk with them as they fall in love and add additions to the family and laugh with them when they kick a tale or two or blow something up! I am so glad to have this entire series (both on Kindle and paperback) – IJS…
Well done Iris Bolling! I bow down to the true Queen – Iris Bolling! I would give it more than 5 stars if I could!!
    Much Love,
    Fan for Life!

  11. Brown Book Series

    Dear Readers,

Iris Bolling did it again in true Iris Bolling fashion with the last book in the Gems & Gents Series, The Book of Luke: Earthquake. And of course, if you ever read an Iris Bolling romance, it’s not just a romance. The leading couple’s romantic interests may be the main point of the story, but you will also have intrigue, action, espionage, and more in many Iris Bolling novels. And this book does not disappoint on any of those levels. I read the book twice, that’s how good the story is! I wanted to make sure I didn’t miss anything.

Everyone in the Lassiter clan is talented, hardworking and highly intelligent but what I admire the most is the love, loyalty and support they have for each other and their parents Joe & Sally. They are the type of people who will have your six always. Now this story is about the last single Lassiter, Luke Tremayne Lassiter aka Earthquake.

Now this brother is a top NFL player, but he is more than just an outstanding athlete, he has brawn and brains. He has a degree in education & engineering and leads a secret co-op team that builds underground tunnels in the US and abroad. Even with all of that going on in his life, something is missing. As he watches his siblings find their soulmate, he is wondering if it will happen to him and how will he know it. Following his mother, Sally’s advice and learning from the ques his siblings experienced, Luke decides to wait patiently for his love to come along. His patience is rewarded when Sasha Coles drops into his life.

Sasha is an equal match for Luke as she is also beautiful and brains. She is gorgeous, has a great figure and she is an interpreter for the United Nations specializing in deciphering several languages. Unfortunately, she did not grow up with the same loving family as Luke did, but she has now discovered the other side of her family and how amazing they are, and they have welcomed her into their fold. She is finding it hard to adjust as she is loner due to the dysfunctional relationship with her mother, but she is trying, and secretly desires the closeness of being part of a loving & supportive family.

Luke needs Sasha’s help interpreting documents that will uncover who is behind the threat to the Lassiter family. This threat happens to know many of the Lassiter secrets and the agenda is to destroy them all. Luke will not allow that to happen. Not on his watch! This is the part where we experience mystery & action throughout the novel.

The attraction is instant between Luke & Sasha and more intense than anything either one of them has experienced before. I loved the heat between the two characters but what captured my heart was seeing the love unfold between them.

The Book of Luke cross references The Book of Matthew: Adonis, A Piece of Her Heart, the 8th book in the Heart series and Jade as stated in the introduction, but I really love how the author pieces it together so well. If you are a fellow Iris Bolling fan you will appreciate the scenes from the other novels from Luke and Sasha’s point of view, and if this is your first-time reading Iris Bolling, you will still be able to easily follow along and enjoy the story, however your interest will be peaked, and I recommend reading the other novels.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading each book in the Gems & Gents series and know this dear reader that this is not the end of the Lassiters. This family is fierce, and I look forward to reading the next stories where the Lassiters’ will be kicking butt & taking numbers, fighting to save their country. Thank you Iris for writing another novel where your readers can escape into and imagine themselves as part of the Lassiter crew.

I don’t even know where to begin this review. This was an amazing, funny, intriguing, romance, mystery all in one, with every detail falling in place at just the right moment. I laughed, cussed, said oh H,,, No! several times. The Book of Luke answered questions while leaving more questions unanswered. Family and extended family dynamics were so tight If you had not read the entire series and connecting books you may be a little lost. I can’t wait to find out what is going to happen to that witch of a mother, they are going to have to pull numbers to see who gets the privilege of taking her down.

    Iris, another outstanding read.

I loved this book! Luke was more than we all expected. Sasha was more than I expected in a good way. They had mad chemistry and just why each other needed! I don’t want to spoil it but some folks need to disappear permanently! It was good see The Lassiter Family together once again to put these crazy folks to rest. I can’t wait to see what The Administration does! Great Job!!

When I finished reading the last book in the Gems and Gents series I was speechless. This book answered questions but left so many more. Ms. Iris weaved an emotional, yet intriguing story of family, love, travel, mistaken identity, escape, yet leaving you to connect the dots to where it is all going. There were surprised characters, characters I wanted to strangle, and characters I am sure I will see again.
Well written, easy flow, if you have not read the other books in this series, let me suggest you do to a full understanding of EarthquakeLike me you may still be left wondering.
