The Queen has done it again!!! I’ve waited for this book for what seems like forever and once I got my hands on it it was definitely worth the wait. I’m constantly amazed how Mrs. Iris is able to weave a story that will grab you from the very beginning, have you on rollercoaster of emotions that will leave you breathless and not wanting the story to ever end. She is the master of throwing her readers a few curveballs with each story she writes. I absolutely loved this story and I can’t wait to read her next masterpiece!!!!

5 stars all the way!!! Ms. Iris is amazing, we have been waiting for this book and once I got it I couldn’t put it down. From the very beginning I was hooked. There were parts when I laughed so hard my family looked at me like I was crazy, then there are parts that made me want to go to the Brooks house to be a part of the action! It is a real page turner with parts I am sure will lead to her next novel and I can’t wait for it! I highly recommend! Once you read any of Iris Bolling’s book you will want to read them all! I loved this story, so much I read it twice in 1 sitting. I loved Rene and Vernon’s story. I just loved catching up with all my Brooks’ Avery and Gwen are still couple goals. And as usual, Iris leaves me with more questions and I can’t wait until she answers them. (i.e The Pendletons) I can’t wait till the next Brooks installment. Who’s wedding will it be next time? The Brook’s Thanksgiving was such an enjoyable book to read. Major holiday and wedding all in the same weekend can only mean an exciting time for family and friends. Iris Bolling did a phenomenal job of marrying these two spectacular events. I laughed, I was surprised, and I even got a major question answered (well, sort of). I was so glad I did not have to cook dinner this year. It is great to see that the Brooks family is still growing and we can look for many more delightful adventures. I think that Iris was able to bring the caring Vernon we met when he was in college full circle, but at the same time we saw that he was still not a man to try to handle. Thanks for a job well done.

What can I say that hasn’t been stated? Obsolutely an awesome read! Passion, romance, drama, suspense, silliness, and loving family & friends. This book had it all. Even mom and pop Brooks had it going on. What a family to be connected too. Vernon and Rene what a couple, with chemistry off the chain. They not only talked about their love for each other, they showed it.
Miss Iris is an incredible writer & author, with an imaginable vision. How the various storylines were so eloquently woven into Vernon and Rene’s story.

I bought this book the day it was available but put off reading it. Of course once I started I couldn’t stop. This book was well worth the wait. Oh my goodness it had everything and then some. Iris you covered so much ground and had me laughing and loving the whole book. It had just about everyone in it. It covered so much but yet left me wanting more. I loved the dynamics between everyone. I loved this family and the way they came together to help and be there for everyone. I love Rene’s family. You always leave me wanting more. I hope another book about the Brooks, Harrisons, Lassiters are coming soon. You know Bobby, Cannon, Genesis, Karess, Raven and a few others could have a book. Would love to know more about them. What a great read! This wedding of Vernon and Rene was the perfect setting for this story. There was all kinds of drama, suspense, romance, and shenanigans going on! That mansion will never be the same again! The eclectic cast of characters carried the dynamic storyline to unforgettable heights! I read the last book in the Brooks series to refresh the story. And I will admit, the story hit the spot. It was easy to pick up from where the last story left readers. I was overjoyed and elated Vernon got the chance to find happiness with Rene. She and her band of beauties make for a stunning picturesque visual. Genesis and the Navarone brothers made the story so much fun. I laughed out loud many times during the story. By the way, I am certain Taylor and Jason will find a way. And maybe Bobby will choose Genesis. Hint.hint.. An excellent Brooks family addition. No spoilers*** The outcome with James Jr was really nice.

Whew! Wow! Whoa! Hold Up! Wait A Minute!
Those were the emotions flowing through my brain as I read all one hundred and ninety-four pages of this novel. Vernon Eugene Brooks is my favorite character from Iris Bolling’s collection of fine and distinguished men–this book solidified all my reasons and more!
Vernon is back and in true form: Cocky, arrogant, loyal as all get out and completely in love with Rene Naverone. If you are a fan of Bolling, you’ll fall right in place with the familiar cast of characters that have ruled her series over the past several years.
Things get interesting once Team Naverone arrives for the Thanksgiving holiday and wedding. Tests are given, wisdom dispensed and of course, it wouldn’t be a Brooks’ event without a legal matter flourishing in the wings to cause mayhem.
Bolling got more than right with this one. Not only does she tie up loose ends, she takes us on a ride through Vernon and Rene’s closest friends, including some drop jaw moments even I wasn’t ready for! I look forward to the forthcoming work in her arsenal, she is certain not to disappoint when she ups the ante going forward.

I really enjoyed A Brooks‘ Thanksgiving, revisiting with some of my favorite characters from some of the other Iris Bolling
books. When Kiki and Taylor went to Gianelli’s for lunch and their waitress was Keisha Jackson, Jason Whitfield‘s ex-girlfriend. I laughed so hard when Taylor knocked her out and Kiki was trying to get from behind the table In the booth. Kiki water broke and she was still trying to order a cheesesteak sandwich, a large order of fries and a milkshake to go. Ty and Kenneth came In to the restaurant and all hell broke out, Kiki was still trying to get the food she had order. I laughed just about all the way though this book. Some of these characters had been dishing out bad things to other people, I was happy to see them get what they deserved Keisha Jackson, Bruce Burke, and Patrice. We finally found out who was James Jr. father, I am glad that mystery Is over. Now Vernon, he know how to take care of business, Rene Naverone Is very good for him. I can’t wait ? for the next book In this series.

I am on my third read of this book because I cannot get enough of it. Iris did her thang with this one. I loved how Patrice was exposed. I also loved the Rene’s brothers and Vernon’s reaction to them. Vernon an Rene definitely belonged together. Now Genesis needs a man. Can’t wait for the babies, all I have to say is WOW! When I got to the end, I thought the perfect woman for Booby would be Jade Lassiter. Who better know what love looks like and can give Bobby the love he needs. Can’t wait for the next book. This is truly a must read book. Continue to do your thang Ms. Iris.

Let me first say this one ended way too soon! It felt like I was actually there and it had me speaking out loud ???♀️, laughing?, my heart rate elevating? and rearing my head saying WTH???♀️. Review of words don’t seem enough for this amazing story, it is best celebrated with friends, wine and discussion!
If you’ve read the Brook’s Family Values, you are aware that this family is full of intelligence and strong characteristics, their dynamic has an abundance of love, passion, access to all types of resources and code of protection by any mean necessary. This wouldn’t be typical Iris Bolling book if we didn’t have some type of mayhem, butts to be kicked and truths exposed. Lose ends were tied up, long-awaited questions answered, healing and forgiveness also added to this weekend.
It was great to catch up with the family and friends, everyone together for the holiday and to witness Naverone and Vernon get their happily ever after.. Looks like they will need more chairs at the next gathering..lol
