A Christmas Affair: Chapter 1
Home of Blake & Jade – Connecticut
The smack was heard across the room. Eyes of the guests turned towards Jade.
“Why are you all looking at me,” Jade Lassiter, who was infamous for throwing a fist, glared back at the guests. With hands on her hips, she had to concede, the Lassiters were known for delivering a well-deserved ass whipping once in a while. Her attention turned to Blake Thornton, her fiancé who was as famous for his cool, calm nature as she was for her temper. Blake was a Hollywood heartthrob whose face made women faint. A muscle-bound body that makes you drool, and the penis of a Greek god, that last part was of course Jade’s personal opinion. His mother’s outrageous behavior caused him to succumb to the feelings most of the family had reached years ago. Blake’s mother, Sofia Thornton, was not redeemable. Jade’s heart went out to him. Blake had been pushed into this unfamiliar territory for him. Anger from his mother’s smack to his face was the last straw for him.
“Get out of my house and don’t ever return.” Blake said glaring at the woman who gave him life.
“Blake,” Jade placed a gentle hand on his arm. “Words are dangerous. They cannot be taken back once spoken.”
“Evil is dangerous too, my love. In some cases, evil is not just on the surface, it is to the bone.” Blake replied as he continued to stare at his mother. “I have come to learn it cannot be eradicated no matter how much love we throw at it.”
“I don’t believe that and neither do you,” Jade replied as her hand moved down to his. His fingers entwined with hers. She could feel the fury radiating through him. Her brown eyes slowly landed on the woman who had caused her mild-mannered man to experience rage for the first time in his life. Jade wanted to kill her then and there, however, she held back. It was their engagement party, after all. Witnessing the display of anger from Blake was enough for the guests. A murder may be a bit much, even for the theater crowd, as the tabloids referred to them. She glanced to her right, then nodded. “Remove her.”
Jade’s cousin, Jessie James Lassiter, a private investigator for the Manhattan, NY District Attorney’s office moved through the crowd to stand behind Sofia. Jade watched as he placed his hand gently on Sofia’s shoulder.
“Don’t you touch me,” Sofia squealed. “You dare to banish me from your life for these heathens?”
The words were spoken to Blake. Before she could grip his arm to hold him back, he had pulled away. Both hands had circled his mother’s neck. The bulging of her eyes indicated he was indeed delivering pressure.
“Son! Son!” Jackson Thornton, Blake’s father rushed over attempting to remove his son’s hands from around his mother’s neck. “I know how you feel Blake. I’ve wanted to put my hands around her throat for years. But you can’t do it Son. You’re about to be married next month. Think of Jade—Think of Jade.”
With Jade yanking his arm, Jackson pulling his fingers loose and Jessie James grabbing Sofia around the waist to usher her out of the ballroom, they were able to separate the two.
“Blake—Blake,” Jade called out as her hands touched his face in an attempt to calm him down. “Don’t do this, babe. She is not worth it. Look at me Blake.” His eyes finally turned to her. The anger could be seen in them. Then they focused on her. Jade forced a smile she was not feeling, but knew Blake needed to see it. The anger in his eyes began to fade, replaced by the love he had for her. “That’s it, babe. Let the love we share close out those dark clouds of hate from her. You don’t ever have to put eyes on her again.” Jade stroked his cheek. “I promise you that.” Jade gently kissed Blake’s lips as his body turned to her, effectively turning his back on his mother.
“Blake—Blake! Don’t you dare turn your back on me!”
Jade felt his body begin to turn back towards his mother. “No. We have a life ahead of us,” she said as the crowd parted to let them through. “From this moment on, she is dead to us.”
A sound very similar to what a wild animal would make as a warning that it was about to strike, echoed around the room. “You dare to walk away from me?! Me, your mother! I will destroy you and that whore’s family.” Jade heard an evil snarl. “I will knock all of you to your knees! I swear – TO YOUR KNEES!”
The evil laughter turned into what sounded like a train screeching out a sharp whistle.
Jade snapped up in bed, disoriented, sweat drenching her naked body. She turned to get out of bed but was pulled back by a strong arm.
“Where do you think you are going?”
The voice immediately calmed her nerves. She looked over her shoulder to see a sleepy Blake smiling up at her. Jade took a deep breath, then exhaled as she laid back with her hand over his heart and her head on his shoulder. “Whew, that was intense.”
“Yes, it was,” he chuckled, while pulling her thigh over his.
It took a minute for her to realize they were not referring to the same thing. He was talking about their lovemaking before they fell asleep. The feel of his whiskers against her forehead and his thick muscular thigh under her leg began to ease her mind away from the dream. While the beard was new, for a role he was acting in, those muscular thighs were familiar in many ways. There were times when they wrapped around her body, held her body up, or times like now, when her crotch began to get moist from being near them. She slid her leg up until the apex of her thigh rested against his leg.
“Hmm, you’re wet,” Blake eased her body over his.
She kissed his nipple then eased her hand down between them. His penis was hard, silky smooth and throbbing in her hand. She smiled against his chest, as she raised her hips up. She positioned him right at her entrance then moaned as her hips lowered, engulfing him inside of her. Like a match to a flame, her insides heated around him, coating him with her juices.
“Jade,” Blake’s smooth baritone voice groaned as his hands travelled slowly up and down her back, “you feel so…good.”
“So do you, babe,” she purred, as her hands traveled up his chest, her thumbs stroking over his nipples loving the way they hardened under her touch. She could feel him growing inside of her, thick, filling her, causing her heart to race, her breathing becoming shallow, her muscles began to contract around him. She had to move harder, faster to catch the heat that was building inside. His penis pumping faster, even harder, her body meeting the tempo of his, as he pumped up she slammed down again, and again and again, until the beads of sweat began to form on her skin. Her heart rate and breathing hiked to a point where she couldn’t stop, didn’t want to stop until she reached that peak, that bang, that…explosion. It racketed through her body like a volcano erupting, Blake’s hand now on her behind, squeezing as if for dear life. She loved the way he reacted to their lovemaking; the way he made her body feel every time. But most of all…this…the two of them as one, every time they came. Her lips sucked on one of his nipples as their bodies began to descend back to their normal state. She closed her eyes against his chest as she sucked.
It seemed Blake wasn’t done. He reached his hand down between them rubbing her nub until her heart rate began to increase again. His penis grew thicker again, as he rotated inside of her. Jade’s mouth fell open, her body grinding against him, his thumb still rubbing against her nub, the pressure building higher and higher until she screamed out another orgasm and he exploded inside of her.
They clung to each other as their breathing began to slow down, their bodies, moist from sweat, began to cool down, and a glow from their lovemaking filled the room.
“This is the way to wake up every morning,” Blake growled.
Jade chuckled. “We do.” The sound of the train from Jade’s dream filled the air again. “What is that sound?”
“The new tea kettle Lillie Mae has,” Blake replied.
“Tea kettle?” Jade exhaled. “Oh yeah. She mentioned that to me. I forgot.”
“I’m sure she is making breakfast for us,” Blake replied.
“Hey, Blake, Jade are you awake. I’m coming up.”
“I can’t believe this,” Jade threw her arm over her forehead.
“He’s your cousin,” Blake laughed.
“You gave him a key to the house,” she replied.
“Hey.” All 6’3”, 195 pounds of Jessie James Lassiter dressed in jeans, and a black turtleneck sweater, walked into the massive bedroom as if it was his own. He threw himself across the foot of the king size bed then grinned up at the still naked couple.
Blake had pulled the sheet over Jade as she sat back against the headboard. “What’s up Jessie James?”
“Lillie Mae said breakfast is ready. I got tired of waiting for you to come downstairs so I thought I should come and get your day started.”
“Shouldn’t you be at work somewhere?” Jade asked with a raised eyebrow.
Jessie James shrugged. “I’ll get there before nine.” He looked from Jade to Blake then back to Jade with a grin. “Did I interrupt something?”
Blake chuckled as he threw the sheet aside then stood. “Just us making love.”
“Whoa-whoa, naked ass,” Jessie James put his hands over his eyes.
“Private bedroom,” Blake replied as he walked towards the bathroom. “Try knocking the next time,” he said closing the door behind him.
“I thought I left family intruding on private moments back in Virginia,” Jade smiled. “What are you doing here, Jessie James?”
“Bearer of bad news so don’t punch me,” he slid back a little away from her.
“What bad news?” Jade sat up. “Is everyone okay?”
“Yes, besides you would know if anyone was hurt or sick before I would. Didn’t Adam put a chip in your arm like he did the rest?”
“How do you know about that?” Jade asked.
Jessie James shrugged, “Joshua told me.”
“Joshua?” Jade raised an eyebrow “Really. Why?”
“I’m family,” Jessie James snorted.
“Family that is about to get kicked out,” Blake said as he walked back into the room, dressed in sweats and slippers. He gave Jade a robe.
“I see what’s happening here,” Jessie James stood then stepped away from the bed. “You two found your happiness so you don’t have time for a lonely brother like me.” Jessie James nodded his head up and down.
Blake threw a pillow at him. “Downstairs.”
“Wait,” Jade said. “I want to know what the bad news is.”
“What bad news?” Blake glanced at Jessie James.
“Oh, now you want to hear what a brother has to say,” Jessie James huffed.
“What is it?” Jade insisted.
Jessie James turned to look at her, then to Blake. “Some way your mother has gotten access to your invitation list for your wedding and had it posted on social media. Shannon said she is handling the breech, but the info is out there now. She asked me to put another layer of security on the house.”
Blake and Jade glanced at each other, then reached for their phones. Blake exhaled. “I have a ton of missed calls.”
“I have a few myself,” Jade exhaled as she pulled the robe around her body then stood. “Moments like this I wish I had just let you kill her.”
“Kill who?” Blake asked.
“Your mother,” Jade replied then slammed the bathroom door behind her. “Why in the hell did you stop him?” She yelled to herself.
Blake and Jessie James stared at each other. “You tried to kill your mother?” Jessie James asked.
