Welcome to my very first blog. I’m joining the world of internet networking and social sites. Along with promoting my novels, I plan to use this blog to introduce you to other authors and have open discussions about romance, family, education, entrepreneurship and self awareness.  So, hold on to your hats, this might be a bumpy ride.

It’s an exciting time in the world of African American Romance.  Joining the ranks of Beverly Jenkins, Brenda Jackson, Francis Ray, Gwyneth Bolton, Donna Hill and Connie Briscoe, are an array of new authors emerging. I’m fortunate to say I am one of them and work diligently each day to produce romance novels that will entertain you as my favorite authors, listed above, have done for me.

My first attempt to entice you with romantic stories is a collection of novels called The Heart Series, because each of the stories will touch your heart and have you wanting more. If your mind is what you want stimulated, and your heart is what you want captured, The Heart Series is where you need to go.

The first novel in the Heart Series, Once You’ve Touched The Heart (A fitting title—don’t you think?) begins the journey of District Attorney J.D. Harrison’s political career by introducing you to his core circle of friends and of course, the woman that will change his life. Once You’ve Touched The Heart is an intriguing love story with characters that you will love and those you will love to hate throughout. The first book of The Heart Series is a first love, suspenseful, page-turner that will hold the interest of men and women alike.

The Heart Series continues as Ashley Harrison, JD’s sister, sets her sights on James Brooks and sparks began to fly in The Heart of Him. This heartwarming story will have you laughing, cheering and wondering when someone will back-hand the Senator’s daughter, stomp the brother  and kill the ex- boyfriend, just to put them all out of their misery. Just as “forever after” is within James and Ashley’s grasp the past comes back to haunt them threatening serious damage to a political campaign, an innocent child and Ashley’s life.

In the third book, Look Into My Heart, life has a strange way of giving you what you ask for. Just ask Cynthia Thornton as the saga of the Harrison family and friends continue. The one person you’re not sure how to take will have you hoping she has found  the  love she is  so desperately seeking when Prince LaVere’ Ashro enters her life. Prince Ashro wants a wife that will stand beside him to reorganize his country. The only problem is the woman he has chosen is independent, out-spoken and not to the liking of the royal family. Finally a man who can treat her like the princess she is—or is he?

A Heart Divided continues the journey towards the White House for J.D. and Tracy Harrison. What do you do when you realize your best friend is in love with your wife? Your brother in law is controlling the streets from prison? And your father’s death was a murder?

Come along on a journey that will simulate your mind, entice your passions and touch a funny bone or two.

The next installment, I’ll begin to introduce you to other authors you may enjoy.

Until the next time,

Iris

    Sistah Iris,
My aunt whose also an avid reader came to visit us from Texas during Christmas time. She wanted something new to read so I gave her your books to start. She read your books in record time! My aunt Wilma had a smooth attitude when we start trying to have a simple conversation wit her especially when it came to Brian. I received call from her last night wanting to know when your next book was coming out! I gave her the sirient website to pre-order the new installment.

P.S I made sure Aunt Wilma gave me back my ALL books! She ordered her own when she returned back home to Texas.

    Keep up the great writing!

Thanks for spreading the word. I understand that time limits. Books leave but don’t come back. I pride myself on my collection of books and like to share my favorite authors with those that have been missing out. However, when I share my books, my intent is for you to enjoy them then bring them back home to momma. LOL!

      Please come back again

Thanks for stopping by and the pre-order. I’m so excited about this novel. It’s the pivotal book the series. You really find out who has been behind the drama in JD and Tracy’s life.
Come back and let me know what you think.

    • Hey Cilla’
Thank you for the compliment. My b-land family is so special to me. I love and value each of you for the different things each bring to the group. The Man-Child blogs keep me in stiches. Victoria, Cathy, Helesi, Rhea, Cheleece, and Kathy, are a daily part of my life. I may not chime in to often when I’m working on a project, but I keep up with you guys all the time. It took a special person to bring together such a wonderful group. Only Beverly “The Empress” Jenkins could have accomplished this feat. You guys make me better. 🙂

    • Hey Kathy;
Thanks for dropping by. I’m glad you like the sight and hope you come by often with your words of wisdom. I love the feel of the sight too. It’s warm, welcoming and relaxing, just as you said. It’s not to busy with so many things goning on. I hope to keep it this way. It is still a work in progress, but the key is, we are progressing.

I’ve been very busy with the books (completed two more for this year) and learning to promote myself, so I haven’t been on B-land as often as I like. But just like you I peak in every now and then. Anyway, I love you guys.

      See you on the cruise….

    Hi Iris,

My first introduction to you and your writings was at the Sharon Baptist Church book luncheon in Richmond, VA. I purchased three of your books. To date, I have read Books One and Two of the Heart Series. Both books are well written, and I love how each character is so vividly described. Once I started reading, I could not stop. You are very talented. Keep on writing.

  • Iris,

I stumbled upon your books through Amazon and this was around the time your 3rd book was released. I ordered and read the first one and was HOOKED!! Before I finished reading that one, I placed my order for the other two. You are a great writer and I absolutely LOVE the series. I like the way you spin drama, love, mystery, comedy, and kinship between all the characters. I believe you can have a 8 – 10 book series with this series. With all the Lassiters, Brian, Douglas, Tucker, Al Day, Monica, Cynthia’s brother and so on…..I do hope you write those stories and you can bet the house that they will ALL be in my library!!

    Take care 🙂

Thank you for giving The Heart Series a chance. Needless to say, I am thrilled you enjoyed the novels. There are a number of books that will come from the series, but only 6 under The Heart Series umbrella. The Lassiters will have a series called Gems and Gents. Douglas will be in a series with his brothers, Tucker and Al Day will be in a series together and on and on and on……

I have no idea when I’ll do all this writing, but believe me, you will have more to read. Thank you for the kind words and keep reading.

      Take care

Iris, i hope that this is where you want me to answer the question about the the scene that made you sad from the book Once You’ve Touched The Heart.. Well there are two scens for me.. The first one was when Jd got shot in the court room protecting Tracy and when Tracy was attacked and beaten badly. Those two scenes really brought tears to my eyes. I can’t wait until the next book come out. Still telling ever one about your Heart Sreies..

    • Donnie; Both of those scenes were hard to write. I had to stop several times, to wipe tears away. Between the two, the one where Tracy was attacked was the hardest to get through. It’s wonderful to know the story touched you in the way it was meant too. Thank you for stopping by. Send a friend.

  • Hello Ms. Bolling! I finished Sinergy, it was so good I started reading the Heart Series all over again. My questions is will you have a story about Monique? I know she is in several books but it would be very interesting to see what you do with her being the lead.

    Keep up the Amazing work!
